About Shinay:

Shinay is a practitioner and teacher of dance and Yoga. Her teaching work is rooted in experiential education where the body is the artist, the scientist, and the material to be studied. She draws on her life-long study of dance, theater, creative writing, group processes, and Yoga to cultivate inter-generational learning spaces where each student uses their body as a unique and powerful tool for healing. Shinay Tredeau has been teaching dance since 2008 and Yoga since 2012. She holds a B.A. in Humanities from Prescott College and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher.

Yoga and Integrated Movement Classes:

Wednesdays – 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM

What to expect:

These classes move beyond the form of “classical” Yoga in order to give the power of exploration back to each participant. There is an emphasis on sensing-feeling and an opportunity to discover your own somatic awareness.  These classes are designed for you to move well throughout your whole life.

It’s a nervous system reset, it’s an embodiment practice.

Expect instructional classes with room to explore movement in your own way.

Shinay will provide hands-on adjustments, progressive sequencing and wisdom teachings woven throughout. Each class is tailored to the individuals who attend. Suitable for all levels of student.

Please come with curiosity to learn new things.
It’s all an experiment!

Natural Enstasy:

Mircea Eliade wrote about Yoga as a shamanic path of “enstacy”—a spontaneous, revelatory experience of residing beautifully inside oneself. I chose the word “natural” because it means the way we were born—organically whole.

This is where I write about Yoga as ordinary magic. These essays, pros, and poems are odes to love, to the body and learning to listen in a different kind of way. shinaytredeau.substack.com
